About

Hello my name is Rammar Jackson III, I am a young black man from Oakland, California I've grown up around poverty, drugs , and stereotyping my whole entire life. Growing up I already knew the outcome of what it would be like if I would act the same exact way as the others around me so from elementary school to middle school people would try and bully me for not being ghetto and I would have to show them my stripes and stand up for myself. From the 6 to the middle of 10th grade I was homeless and didn't go to school often because the shelters I was staying in weren't close to my school and it would just be such a hassle to get to and from school my grades reflected how life was at home greatly I always got pulled out of class and asked if everything was okay but my mother implemented in my head to tell the schools I was in that everything was okay and I'm living a normal life but it got to a certain point in my life where I didn't want to fail in class anymore and I wanted to live a regular teenage life so I ran away from the shelter I was living in and asked my father that hasn't been in my entire life if I could please stay with him. He then told me that he always loved me and my mother was keeping me away from him and I was super happy about that and I finally got to live a normal life and excel in school. The next school year I was a 4.0 gpa student my junior year then an 3.8 gpa student my senior year I then moved onto Holy names University and finished my freshman year with an 3.8. I was on scholarship at Holy Names University but now I am not because Holy Names university shut down and I am now going onto my sophomore year at Cal state east bay university. I am in deep need of extra help because my father cant help me pay for things like books and things of that nature and being on scholarship at Holy Names University helped me greatly.
