About
Dcs. Rayanne Woodruff is currently serving as the neuroeducational specialist for Excel Christian Academy (ECA) in Lakeland, FL. Dcs. Woodruff is a licensed speech-language pathologist with almost 30 years experience as a therapist and educator. She is a consecrated Lutheran deaconess and trained chaplain which allows her to address the emotional and spiritual needs of her students. Her current role involves facilitating social emotional learning, brain friendly practices, pragmatic language and executive functioning at ECA. Dcs. Woodruff has implemented a play lab at her school and facilitates classes in the “exploration and innovation” lab for kindergarten through middle school. Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to continue to work at Excel Christian Academy as their Neuroeducational Specialist as I work on my dissertation. I will also make myself available as an educational consultant to assist other schools in development of brain friendly practices including the implementation of onsite playlabs to encourage social and cognitive development through play as a school special.

Play research from a neuroeducational perspective.
- Outside the classroom
I also enjoy reading and art. I particularly focus on creating wire art and jewelry. I wrote a book of poetry titled "Figments of my Formation"
