About
Hesci! (hello in Mvskoke Creek) my name is Rayya Cao and I'm a current undergraduate student (junior) at the University of Mississippi (Oxford campus) majoring in criminal justice with a minor in corrections. I graduated with my associate's degree in May of 2023 from Jones College (Ellisville, MS) while being involved with the Charles Pickering Honors Institute and also Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) during my 2 years at Jones College. I come from the only federally recognized tribe in the whole state of Alabama, the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, and I value my upbringing and cultural background coming from a Native American tribe in the U.S and enjoy teaching others more about it.
