About
After a 19 year career in Law Enforcement, I decided to pursue a bachelor's degree. My career focus as a Deputy Sheriff was education and mental health training. In January, 2020 I retired from my position after 21 years. I accepted a position as the Crisis Intervention Training Coordinator for Lutheran Family Services. The only career that I had ever had as an adult, had manifested in my love for training Criminal Justice Professional to effectively manage a person experiencing a mental health crisis.
I have a passion for helping people in need, and first responders have a crucial role in many mental health and substance use emergencies. My goal is to protect and facilitate the recovery of individuals suffering from a mental illness crisis and substance use disorders.
I am a full time student, full time employee, and a mother of four children. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Justin.
