About

My name is Rebekah Odom and I am currently transferring to University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in pursuit of a business degree.
Growing up I always believed that education is important and the key to unlocking the door to life-long success. All through elementary and high school I would strive to do the best I could academically. I was so ashamed of myself if I got anything below an eighty. As time went on, I struggled to keep my focus. I took on too much and got burnt out. However, I feel that everyone deserves a second chance. I have my determination back and in full force. I will graduate not just with passing grades, but honors and job offers my senior year. If I believe that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and if I trust Him then I know that I will accomplish anything.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I am still trying to figure out where to go and what to do, but I am a firm believer in the fact that without a plan one can accomplish nothing. With that said, I am pursuing a business degree because it will open up many doors in the occupational world. I intend to seek out jobs that I may potentially be interested in such as administrative assistants, clerks, accountants, and professional organizers. I know that I can do anything that involves heavy organization and people skills. Those two areas are my strongest. I will take one day and one step at a time and let God lead my footsteps. With that I will not fail.

Graduate school interests

I am not sure if I will need to pursue grad school, but if I do I will take it head on.

Outside the classroom

I love to help others and live out an active lifestyle. I believe you should live for others not for yourself. I love to sing and dance. I have choreographed over five dances within the last five years. I sing on the worship team at my church, but love to sing for fun with friends too. I am as crafty as they come. I love scrap-booking and making cards for others. I taught myself to make personalized pop-up cards for different friends while in high school. I also love to run and workout. I just recently finished my first 5K called the Color Run.
