About
I have always dreamed of being a Video Game Developer. In 2016, I was in a point in my life where I was progressing within the career that I was in, but always had that real dream job that I truly wanted. I then gave up multiple promotion opportunities so that way I could then go into game development instead. I found my strong desire and passion for game development so strong that I couldn’t give that up for anything else. I thought to myself how I would feel about this moment in the future. If I was to look back and think of the path that I chose, would I be happy with the choice that I made? Would I feel like I was being true and authentic in my life? Within this soul-searching moment I found that I had to accept all the risks, and hard work that was required, to pursue my dream.
I have maintained a passion for making art, and music throughout my whole life. Either with performing on stage or in a recording studio in a band. As well as traditional art, making drawings that are shown and sold in art galleries. Also, with digital art as well, either drawing, 3D modeling, or photography. I have always had a strong passion for expressing myself through many different art mediums as ways of creative self expression. When I was in elementary school, I had even written fictional short stories, as well as screen plays.

My educational goal is to obtain a Bachelor’s in Computer Animation and Game Development. I have a strong passion and drive to achieve my lifelong dream of being a digital artist using industry-leading software and working with teams to produce high-quality entertainment content, within the rapidly growing and adapting Video Game Development industry. I have extensively learned software and techniques to better prepare myself, and always continually learn new skills and to refine my work. My unwavering passion is 3D Modeling and Texturing, I have dreamt of achieving this as a career since I was 8 years old. It was then that I was first introduced to the tools, and instantly fell in love.
Chico State has been teaching game industry standard pipelines to help prepare myself to be career-ready. Being in this program has shown that this is exactly what I have been working for, and want to continue forever. I feel as I am in my element. Pursuing my goals have been incredibly exciting and soul fulfilling. I have been waiting my whole life, and through many hardships, to finally get the opportunity to pursue this life-long dream. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful for where I am now, getting to share my educational experience with great instructors and peers. My career goal is to work in a Game Development Studio. It has been my lifelong goal to have the privilege to work with teams to deliver memorable, emotionally impactful, interactive narrative stories that will nurture and inspire the human spirit. I crave to participate and share creative and innovative ideas and tools to help further develop the industry in new and exciting ways. I want to share this love and passion with the world and will continue to put forth my strongest efforts to achieve this dream.- Outside the classroom
* I have been playing guitar since I was 9 years old, a total of 24 years. I have performed concerts, recorded albums, filmed music videos, and toured with bands. We had won competitions such as "battle of the bands". We had put on events to raise money to rebuild a historic movie theater. Sold lots of merchandise, albums, as well as posters, clothes, and other retail items. We were played on the radio. As well as in Canada, topping charts above other well-known global artists.

* I have been working for over 17 years for Starbucks, and have harvested many great skills while growing and developing the partners that I have worked with.
