In life you make choices. Those choices have ramifications good and bad. I made a choice to go back to school. Going to college in my early twenties I made the worst choices. I did not choose my education wisely. Due to that choice I made almost 7 years ago is costing me not to have any financial aid. I have exhausted my assistance. However, I made a choice not to give up and it is costing me a lot of money.

I searched online for scholarships, and nothing. When I received an email from NHS I did not know if I wanted to pay for something I though was free. Nowadays nothing is free, but respect. I want respect. I want to be one of the top options for scholarships. I do not want it to come easy. I want to do the work.

I am a single mother of a very smart young boy. He is 14 years old. I work for a great company Grubhub. I am a full time employee I have been with Grubhub for four years now. I am a Senior 1099 Tax Care Specialist. I know people say they want a career. I believe that a job and a career is the same thing. You have to work at them both. The pay may be different. I do not want to quit my job, because I love it. I have a passion for customer service. I think that even with my Bachelors I can apply for those lead and managers positions. I am almost done. I pay out of pocket for my classes. It is hard. Everything cost. Food is high, and the cost of living is so expensive that people are choosing to be homeless.

I am making a different choice. I want my son to see that there is hope in this society. Education is very important. Since I tell my son that I have to walk the talk. I want an opportunity that I worked for not just handed to me. A goal without a plan is simply just a wish. Sometimes it is always safe to have a contingency plan. This is why I decided to become a member of the NHS.
