I am currently conflicted between two possible paths to move forward after getting my Civil Engineering degree. One thing I am passionate about is working to build more energy efficient and environmentally friendly buildings. There are so many things that we can do to make buildings more energy efficient. Everything from the angle and color of the roof to the rating of the windows, affects the energy required for heating and cooling. The process of construction can disturb more natural land than is used in the building, so working to build things in the most efficient order can save space and cause less harm. During construction, having excess waste materials is a large concern because it increases the greenhouse emissions of the project. The wasted material requires the emission of greenhouse gasses when being made. After words it just sits in landfills decaying and creating methane, another potent greenhouse gasses. I want to Better plan the creation of large buildings. There is a need for large buildings because at the moment the world population keeps growing. The other thing I am looking at is the infrastructure for moving water. It is very important that everyone has access to clean water. It is one of the more pressing issues in humanity’s near future. I feel like I could really make the world better by doing either of these.

When I started I was pressing buttons on the camera switch board. I later was trained on how to operate the cameras. Most recently I have been the creative director. That entails picking the camera shots and coordinating the crew to produce the best live stream.
