Dear Members of the Scholarship Committee,
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for considering my application for your scholarship. As the first family member to pursue a high degree, I am committed to overcoming challenges and achieving academic excellence. I am a devoted mother of three young children, and despite facing financial struggles, I am determined to create a better future for my family through education.
I currently maintain a GPA of 3.9, reflecting my dedication to academic excellence. Additionally, I am a proud member of the Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success. These affiliations have provided valuable opportunities to engage in leadership development, community service, and networking.
As an immigrant with English not my first language, pursuing the Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) program holds significant personal importance. I understand the challenges of learning a new language firsthand and am passionate about helping others overcome similar struggles. My journey in the TESOL program has enriched my understanding of language acquisition and allowed me to contribute to the success of others navigating language barriers.
Earning a high degree has been a lifelong dream for me, and it will open doors to opportunities and inspire my children. As a mother, I am motivated to provide a better life and instill in my children the importance of education, resilience, and perseverance.
Balancing motherhood, work, and academic responsibilities has been demanding, but it has also sharpened my time management and organizational skills. I am proud of the values I instill in my children by demonstrating the importance of education, hard work, and determination.
Financial constraints have been a significant hurdle in my educational journey. Despite working tirelessly to support my family, the costs associated with higher education pose a substantial burden. Receiving your Scholarship would alleviate some of these financial challenges, allowing me to focus more on my studies and less on financial stress.
My dedication and support from you will enable me to excel academically and contribute positively to my community. I am committed to making the most of this opportunity and using my education to make a meaningful impact.
Thank you for considering my application. I appreciate your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Riham Elakabawi
