· Recently I have excelled in my education and received a Bachelor’s of Social Work (BSW) in May 2015, from New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU). I received Summa Cum Laude honors at my graduation ceremony in May 2015 and maintained a 3.94 cumulative GPA. I am currently enrolled in the graduate program at NMHU in pursuit of a Master’s in Clinical Social Work with a concentration in the Substance Abuse Program.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I plan on getting into the social work field and making a difference in people's lives. This entails encouraging and being an active guide to help individuals develop skills to self-efficacy and the ability to advocate for themselves. I have a particular interest in combating substance misuse, whether it be on a micro level or being an advocate to encourage adequate quality of services and policies for the population being served.
- Outside the classroom
Outdoors, fishing , camping, sports, hiking, reading, advocating, community involvement, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and traveling to places I have never been.
