Robert Ringsrud

I am currently in the Social Work program at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas. Before I started at Del Mar, I graduated from Richard King High School. Professionally, I work at Century 16 & Imax and have held that job for almost four years now, in addition I volunteered at Child Protective Services for nearly a year. Since starting at Del Mar have been able to keep my GPA at above 3.0. Since I was a small child, I knew I wanted to make a difference in this world. I spent all of high school and my first few semesters at Del Mar trying to decide what I should do with my life. I was attempting to discern what career path would allow me to do the most direct good and make others lives better. I want to feel like I left this world in at least a slightly better place than when I got here. I know that one persons does not amount to very much, but I feel that if I can help someone in their time of need then maybe they will help someone and maybe that person will in turn help someone else. I may be just one person, but the people whose lives I touch could change the world. I firmly believe that, but even if that does not happen, when my time comes, as long as I know I have done the best I can I can be happy with the life I chose.
