Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended job path with a B.S. in Criminal Justice is to pursue a career in federal law enforcement, specifically with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), while also preparing to attend law school. I am interested in working in a role where I can investigate serious crimes, support national security efforts, and help protect communities. The FBI appeals to me because it allows professionals to combine investigative work, intelligence analysis, and public service to address complex criminal and national security threats.
Earning a degree in criminal justice provides a strong foundation in criminology, law, and the justice system, which are essential skills for a future role as a federal agent. Through my coursework and professional experiences, I am continuing to develop analytical thinking, communication skills, and an understanding of how the justice system operates.
In addition to working in federal law enforcement, I also plan to attend law school in the future. My long-term goal is to study real estate law and civil law so that I can advocate for individuals and families who may not have the resources or knowledge to protect their rights. By combining a career in law enforcement with legal education, I hope to contribute to both public safety and justice, while also helping people navigate legal challenges and build stronger communities.
- Graduate school interests
My graduate school interests focus on attending law school after completing my B.S. in Criminal Justice. My goal is to deepen my understanding of the legal system and develop the skills needed to advocate for individuals and communities who may not have the resources or knowledge to protect their rights. Law school would allow me to strengthen my knowledge of constitutional law, civil law, and legal procedures while preparing for a career that combines public service and legal advocacy.
I am particularly interested in studying real estate law and civil law. Through my experiences in real estate and property management, I have seen how many individuals and families struggle to understand their rights when it comes to housing, contracts, and property ownership. I want to use legal education to help people navigate these challenges and promote fair access to housing and property opportunities.
In addition, my long-term career goals include working in federal law enforcement, specifically with the FBI, where analytical thinking, investigative skills, and legal knowledge are critical. Graduate education will help me build the professional and legal expertise necessary to contribute effectively in both investigative and legal roles. Ultimately, I want to use my education to protect communities, promote justice, and help others build stable futures.
