About

When I was in middle school, I had no interest for my grades, and I was also often in and out of school due to my mother having had breast cancer, forcing us to hop back to my hometown for her treatments (she's better now). COVID hit halfway through my 7 grade year, and it negatively impacted me.
In 9 grade, I also had no cares for school, a big regret. Starting 10 grade, I hit high honor role the whole year in every class. In 10, I got out of core classes, took 2 math classes, and maintained honor role all year. Now, my senior year, I finally have my 'dream' classes. I have the AP I dreamed of having, AP Biology, along with self study AP Statistics (I took introductory stats last year as my second math), which I am also taking SUPA (DE) Stats, along with SUPA (DE) Economics and SUPA (DE) Policy Studies.
The first marking period was a bit rocky as I wasn't used to the rigorous courses, but now I am getting the hang of it. As of now, I got back into honor role and am creeping up into high honors!
I am beyond motivated.
The first marking period may rock the grade (it was a few points under honor role, but in the 80s), but it'll increase. My GPA will be going up.

I have applied to 21 schools, and so far have been accepted to 5, rejected from 1, waiting to be accepted to 1.

I plan to become an emergency medicine physician in the future. I will be majoring in biochemistry for my undergrad to get me started. Scholarships will be a MAJOR help!

Outside the classroom

Art. I have been making art my entire life. Painting, drawing, beaded crafts, everything in the book. My favorite is drawing.

I enjoy U.S Politics and am heavily invested. I engage online with several communities about politics.

I enjoy baking and cooking. I also enjoy gardening, and operate a mini greenhouse in my backyard during the warmer months.

Volunteering

  • Volunteer. I volunteered along with a club I am a part of, Patriot Club. We went to the state fairgrounds and served free breakfast to Veterans a few days prior to veterans day. I served orange juice to the veterans.

  • Volunteer. I volunteered at my highschool's observatory night for elementary-aged kids. My job was to teach the kids about all the different moon phases and their order. I first had them list what moon was out that night (full), and then asked them to put the phases in order , and taught them about it. I also showed them different constellations in the sky and taught them about them, and how to find them.

  • I was a volunteer at the summer camp for 5 days. I helped teach the kids about science, and I also played with them around the museum.
