My name is Rosendo Guajardo I am currently attending University of Houston Clearlake for a bachelors in Accounting. I have always enjoyed personal finance and view accounting as a extension of that on a much greater scale. This is the main factor that grew my interest in the field of accounting and made me want to pursue a career in this field of study. I hope to become a CPA and gather experience in the business world till I am ready to start my own accounting firm and provide needed jobs to my community as well as exceptional service to my future customers.

PBL Microeconomics State finalist
I placed 3rd in state in the Phi Beta Lambda Microeconomics competition which involved a extensive exam on microeconomics in a timed setting only the top 3 in the state would go on to compete in national. I ranked 3rd in the state of Texas and 9th overall
Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to become a licensed CPA and find a employment of one of the large accounting firms stationed in Houston preferably Ernst & Young. After gathering experience in the corporate world I plan on starting my own accounting firm focused on small businesses as well as personal tax returns
- Outside the classroom
I am an avid stock investor as such a lot of my free time is spent reading company SEC reports such as form 10k's and 10Q's. I also will listen to quarterly earning calls for company's I follow and genuinely enjoy the process. Another hobby of mine is hiking although I don't get to do it as much as I prefer anytime my family takes a camping trip to a state park my favorite thing to do has always been to walk the hiking trails. Besides for those two i enjoy playing fighting games from time to time such as UFC and mortal kombat.

Tool Room Assistant
San Jacinto Community College Welding Department My duties involved cutting pipe with the plasma cutter for students to use as well as small repairs such as replacing C Clamps. I would also help students and teach them how to use the torches to cut metal plates for welding.
