About

I am a small town country boy who came from the top of Texas (Panhandle). A city called Hereford is where I was raised, and for eighteen years was all I knew. The world outside of my bubble was a mystery, a dream, a fantasy, but in 2016 I left and relocated to Central Texas. Central Texas is a melting-pot for diverse groups, minorities, and even opportunity! I found myself experiencing things I never would have living in the small-town I knew for most of my life. The beauty in the pain of leaving home was that I had graduated from Central Texas College with a Associates in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2018, and then I went on to finish my Bachelors of Science with a major in education from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Graduating a total of three times in my life was a major mile stone! It not only made me feel a sense of accomplishment, but also a sense of pride because I am now the first of my family to graduate college and to be pursuing a masters degree as well! God is good all the time, and all the time god is good!

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended job path is one in education. I want to be a high school history teacher/athletic coach. The intent for my job pursuit comes from my original high school coaches and educators who pushed me to excel in school. I feel it is necessary to honor them for their efforts by continuing the very same motivation and determination they did for me. How I plan on doing this is by helping students who struggle with school reach their goals!

Graduate school interests

I am currently pursuing and education in administration masters degree at the University of Mary Hardin- Baylor. I am very excited for the journey that lies ahead of me, considering UMHB is where I received my bachelors degree for education, the university will not be new to me, but it will be home!

Outside the classroom

I enjoy making music, writing poetry, drawing, remaining athletic and in shape, family bonding, deep thinking, and playing video games. Yes, I realize being twenty-five years of age I should put down the video games, but outlets are healthy when it comes to relaxing the mind its stresses due to day-to-day activities. Along with my many hobbies I have taken up tattooing and reading! You can never learn to many things!
