I'm from Japan and started a new chapter in Merced, California, all because I wanted to take on new challenges. I'm working hard to become a physical therapist, and for the past two and a half years, I've been studying kinesiology at Merced College.

When I first got here, English was tough, but I've improved a lot by talking with friends every day. Making friends has been a big help in getting better at English.

I've kept my grades and, holding 3.9 GPA, and I got the International Student Merit-Based Scholarship on November 22nd. It feels really appriciate to be recognized for my dedication and hard work.

Now, I'm set on taking the next big step in my journey by going for a Doctor of Physical Therapy program. I'm really interested in programs at Fresno State and USC. These programs are the perfect next steps toward my goal of becoming a skilled and caring physical therapist.
