Driver for Meals on Wheels
I used to work for Meals on Wheels in my early 20s. I am 50 years old now, but I know to this day working for Meals on Wheels really taught me how to have compassion and care for seniors. The senior citizen Community is so thankful for the help. They are so kind and gentle that it makes me think of each senior citizen as my parent in a way it makes me want to try to take care of them as if they were my parents and in that thought treat them in a loving manner that gives them kindness and some kind of way to still mean something as a giving role to the public. Sometimes, I remember when I use to bring food to a client, they would feel so lonely or lost or forgotten. The moment I showed up at their door they knew that they mattered to me as just someone I needed too!

I volunteer at the local second-hand store and help people put clothes away and set up racks and donations. It is fun because I get to work with the public and learn how to work with people.
