Samantha Burdette

My name is Samantha Burdette and I'm 23 years old. I'm from a small town in southeast Georgia. I really like to help people. I first attended the University of Georgia in Athens to be a Pharmacist. I changed my major from Chemistry to Psychology in hopes to still be a pharmacist. I learned you necessarily didn’t have to have a Chemistry major to still pursue being a pharmacist. From changing my major from Chemistry to Psychology, I discovered I just wanted to help people. So then I found nursing. My mom always told me that nursing is what I should do but I never listened but I see she knew something that I didn't. I chose nursing and I love it. I get to really help people and when I say help people I mean help them but most important let them know that there is someone here that really wants to help and listen to them cause sometimes all we want is for people to show us some love, understanding, care or just listen and I can say I don't have no problem with that. I like to learn from others and see how I can help them. I have volunteered all my life and it doesn't bother me. I just want to accomplish my goals and help others the best way I can. My number one motto is "never give up" and I firmly believe in that because of my faith in God and that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
