"Courage, to be scared and saddling up anyway." -John Wayne. I've been told to play it safe, not think outside of the box, not to go for the none average jobs. Being a woman and doing things most would never take the opportunity to go for. Being told riding a motorcycle was too hard to do. To chase the dream of becoming a welder. There's just one thing that separates me from the rest. The courage to step out the line and saddling up. Growing up on the farm you learn quickly that anything worth having doesn't come ease. Have a dad always having faith in me and saying "You'll be just fine." anytime I tried something new. The ambition and work ethic of a motivated mother holding everything together no matter what. Knowing there is a time for leadership and a time for teamwork. The levee breaking wiping out the town and several farms showed that a community can come together. Or having to figure out the hydraulic hose in the rain that busted and replacing it on my own. Solutions as well as problem solving through so many obstacles throughout life. Learning, buying and riding my first bike. Challenging myself to work two jobs and put myself through the school to pursue my passion for welding. It's the hardwork, dedication and determination and the heart that has more passion than most is what makes me stand apart.
