About
As a graduate student from Chamberlain University Master of Social Work program, I will go above duties expected to ensure families and individuals who are receiving hospice services are comfortable and have all the resources they need. It will be a privilege and honor to work as a Medical Social Worker. All this came about 2 years ago when I lost my grandma to Alzheimer's. I was the sole caregiver for my grandma for 15 years, the last 3 being on Hospice services. I was greeted with a team of professionals who helped me navigate through such a dark time. Upon the passing of my grandma, I knew exactly what I wanted to do, become a hospice social worker. Upon her death I enrolled in the MSW program through Chamberlain University. I am so proud and honored to say that I am currently completing my first internship with the same hospice company that helped me with my grandma. This is such a beautiful thing as I have seen both sides of the spectrum now. I can help these families with more then just knowledge, but experience.
