About

Hi everyone!
I am Sania Ali. I immigrated to the United States in 2019 from Pakistan. My aunt had applied for our immigrations when I was 3 years; I am 17 now. It was more than an adventure, as the world just changed around me. At first, everything seemed hard. Not knowing anything about colleges or even this Honors program, but my friends and cousins helped me out. I almost made up my mind to go back to Pakistan, when I was told that I would have to repeat as a Sophomore at a High School. Saying, I was heartbroken would be an understatement. However, one day the administration office at the Highschool just informed me that they won't be able to take me in school, as according to them I already graduated High School. I got admission to Harper College while completing my education in Pakistan online.
I have always been a super-achiever in my classes since grade one. Education and research have been my top priorities since childhood. I am ambitious, competitive, and goal-oriented. I aim to become a Doctor, and I have been figuring out medical schools lately. One of the biggest challenges I overcame in life was to speak and become confident. I joined Harper's speech team as soon as I started college, to bring myself out of my comfort zone. I am proud to say that I don't fear speaking now, and I have won plenty of awards for my speeches too. I love to challenge myself and explore life. I also started my first job last year as an instructor at Mathnasium. I soon got promoted to becoming a lead instructor. 2019 and 2020 have just been positive turning points to my life, and I feel happy to know that I have grown in many possible ways.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I have always been fascinated by the Biology and Chemistry of our bodies. Knowing how everything works and is linked is impressive. I want to serve as a Physician at Hospitals. I also plan to volunteer and help treat organizations in their missions to spread awareness and treating ill people. After getting my specialization in dermatology and geriatrics, I would love to work as a Dermatologist or a Geriatrics.

Graduate school interests

I want to pursue a medical career. I have already started preparing for the MCAT. I have made a list of Medical Schools that are approachable. Those are mainly the ones that offer free Medical Programs. I have been focusing on getting in NYU, UCLA, Wash U, or Cornell. I have always wanted to become a Doctor, and I am and will work hard to become one.

Outside the classroom

I believe in living life to the fullest while staying focused on our ambitions. I love to travel to different places and cook in my free time. In my free time, you will usually find me spending time with family, hanging out with friends, or watching Netflix. Moreover, I love to research and explore new things in life and about myself. Ohh, and I love adventures and theme parks, particularly, all roller coasters.
