Saniya Jiles

I am writing to express my sincere desire to be considered for a scholarship to help support my education and future endeavors as I pursue a career in elementary education. My name is Saniya Jiles, and I am a dedicated student currently attending Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas. I am set to graduate in May 2024 with an unweighted GPA of 3.6.

Throughout my high school journey, I have not only excelled academically but have also actively engaged in extracurricular activities. One of my proudest achievements is my participation in the Hillcrest School Basketball team, where I have been honored with Second Team All-District recognition for the past two years. This year, I am determined to elevate my performance and achieve the esteemed status of First Team All-District.
In addition to my academic and athletic pursuits, I am currently employed at Dunkin Donuts to help support myself financially. This experience has imparted valuable life skills such as time management, responsibility, and a strong work ethic. Despite the challenges of balancing work and school, I remain committed to excelling in both areas.
My passion for becoming an elementary education teacher stems from my desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners. However, I recognize the financial challenges that pursuing higher education may pose. It is with this understanding that I am seeking financial assistance through a scholarship, as it will enable me to focus more wholeheartedly on my studies and future career goals.

Receiving a scholarship will not only alleviate the financial burden from my shoulders but will also empower me to pursue my passion for education and community service. I am committed to using my education to make a meaningful contribution to society, particularly by fostering the growth and development of young minds.

I believe that my academic achievements, dedication to extracurricular activities, and commitment to community service make me a deserving candidate for this scholarship. I am enthusiastic about the prospect of receiving support to further my education and, in turn, contribute positively to the community.
