About
My name is Santaro Muto. I am from Japan and a junior majoring Media Arts Production in Emerson College. I transferred from SUNY Oneonta, Upstate of New York after the end of Spring 2017. I would call myself Explorer because through my life, I’ve always challenged new worlds.
Born and raised in Japan, I had been fascinated by foreign movies and wanted to see other countries. However, I was just a shy boy and too afraid to take that action.
Fortunately, I had the chance of a homestay program in Australia during high school. Despite my stranger anxiety, I tried my best to talk with native speakers as much as possible. Thanks to that, I found out how valuable communicating with others in a different culture was for the first time.
The cultures - as an international student, this is one of my precious experiences while studying in the US. I love to interact with other people from different background and share my Japanese culture with others, too.
Of course, at first I had a hard time acclimating myself to US college life; keeping up with classes while facing a language barrier but I have immersed myself into extracurricular activities and leadership positions. I’m thankful for cherishing every precious meeting here through this continued journey.
