About
My name is Sarah Paddock and I am a psychology major and English minor at The University of Texas in Austin. I decided to finish my undergrad in three years, so I could begin my masters as soon as possible. I am getting a masters of science in child life with Texas Woman's University, starting in the fall. I am currently Vice President of an art therapy club at The University of Texas (Longhorn Art Therapy Club) and there are fifteen regular members. We paint and draw using prompts from an art therapy book every other Tuesday. I am passionate about this club, because I love helping others relieve anxiety using art and creativity. Along with helping others, the club has also helped me reduce my own stress.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
After I intern at a children's hospital next spring, I plan on becoming a child life specialist. I love working with children and I have always wanted a career that helps reduce anxiety in the world.
- Graduate school interests
I will be going to Texas Woman's University in the fall to get my masters of science in child life. I plan on having my masters by the end of summer '23.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy swimming and hiking in nature, going to the gym, playing with animals, and anything "art-related." I am quite good at drawing cartoons and people, and I enjoy drawing for others. I also love to paint, because I find it relaxing. My favorite creative outlet is freestyle dance. My favorite style of dance is lyrical, so I typically dance to slower songs.
