About

My name is Sarah and I am a Journalism Sophomore student of 20 years old studying at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Coming from France, I left my hometown after high school as I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and chase my dream of being in another country for my studies. I went to London for three moths to learn English and decided to start my studies in California after being fluent in English. I went to Santa Barbara City College in Spring 2015 to fulfill my dream of studying journalism. I then transferred to USC in Fall 2016. Since then, I keep improving my journalism skills by being a reporter for the International news desk of the journalism school at USC. I am also the Public Relations chair for the USC triathlon club in which I dedicate most of my time being a passionate of triathlon. Recently, I have been accepted in several honors societies, aiming to improve my leadership skills. Passionate about writing and traveling, my dream is to combine those two passions and tell stories of the unheard communities around the world. I am also very interested in the documentary area as I think the power of documentaries is incredible.

Goals and interests

Career goal

After my studies, I would like to go toward the journalism documentary area, as I love making videos and editing as well as reporting on international communities. My goal is to write stories about international communities that have their voices unheard. I think the power of documentaries is incredible, and I would like to use my journalism skills and love for documentaries to report on the world.

Outside the classroom

My first extracurricular activity is triathlon. I have been part of the USC triathlon team for two semesters now. I have been racing around California with the team as well. I also recently became the Public Relations chair of the team. Triathlon has become a passion and lifestyle not only in my personal life but also my professional life by giving me the determination to achieve anything. I am also a reporter for the International Desk of USC Annenberg’s media center. I report on stories about international communities within Los Angeles. I am also involved in a lot of health clubs, such as the Vegan and Balance and Fit clubs. In my free time, I love writing and photographing as I am in the process of creating a lifestyle blog focused on food and travel.
