About
My experience includes two years of medical assisting in minor emergency/ family practice office. This entails front and back office knowledge.
Examples of my experience include triaging, obtaining medical records, verifying insurance and informing patients of results. To begin with patient intake: I am skilled at vital signs, setting up for and explaining various procedures, injections, blood draws, and performing EKG’s. I have assisted/chaperoned in-office procedures such as incision and drainage treatment and wound care, suture removal, pelvic exams, and pap smears. I have knowledge of insurances and front desk responsibilities. Additionally, I am skilled in equipment sterilization, ordering, inventory, and stocking.
I am highly motivated, work well under pressure, and am able to multi task. I possess superior communication skills and am able to maintain professional working relationships with coworkers, physicians, and patients.
I am working towards my BSN to further my education in the medical field.
