Goals and interests

Career goal

I have been lucky enough to secure jobs related or semi related to my field, the first being an interpreter for the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, the second being a temporary summer position for Cornell University as a wildlife technician. During and after grad school, I would like to continue working in academic research, with a healthy balance of field work and lab work. If not then I would enjoy a wildlife management position.

Graduate school interests

For graduate school, I am open minded but I would like the program to be a mixture of course work and independent research. I would like to earn my degree through a fellowship and assisting a postdoc. My interests concern the effects of climate change on sensitive groups, especially as it relates to speciation and behavior.

Outside the classroom

scientific illustration (traditional media), folk dances, hiking, activism, crafting, writing, biking, historical reenactment.
