Selena Smith

HI! My name is Selena Smith ! I am a dedicated, compassionate, and hardworking high school senior who values education, leadership, and helping others. Throughout my high school years, I have been involved in National Honor Society, Beta Club, Science Club, Yearbook Club, STLP, and FCA. I placed second in district FBLA and advanced to state competition, participated in All-District Choir, and was honored to be crowned Senior Homecoming Queen after pushing myself to step outside my comfort zone. Outside the classroom, I have played volleyball for eight years and received numerous awards for leadership and good sportsmanship. I have also worked hands-on with special education students at my school and helped with Helping Hands, an organization that feeds people experiencing homelessness. These experiences have strengthened my empathy, patience, confidence, and desire to make a difference in the lives of others. I hope to use my leadership skills, love of learning, and passion for helping students to pursue my goal of becoming a college professor. I want to inspire others, encourage students to believe in themselves, and create a positive impact through education.
