About

I finished my PhD studies at University of Houston in May 2017. I am very interested in Materials Science and Engineering research and development, and have incorporated in diverse experimental research areas ranging from the old-fashion metallurgical materials to the advanced-/nano- structure materials. I have hands on experiences in materials synthesis, thin film deposition, and related characterization techniques.
So far, I have disseminated my research projects outcomes in over 13 first-authored and co-authored publications;1 US Patent (filed in April 2015); 1 invention disclosure (filed in June 2016), and 2 Iran Patents. Moreover, I am a technical reviewer of Optics Express, IEEE-Photonics, APL, Journal of Crystal Growth, and IEEE-EDL journals.

During my undergraduate studies, I gained firm understanding about materials structures, which helped me make a smooth transition towards my graduate studies; where, I focused on materials characterization techniques. During my doctoral program, thanks to my interdisciplinary educational background, I have earned theoretical and technical knowledge in the areas of thin film growth mechanism, X-ray analyses technique, and semiconductor device physics.
