Shamaya Long

My intended job path is to become a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery nursing. I am passionate about caring for women and newborns during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), I plan to work in a hospital setting where I can provide compassionate, patient-centered care to mothers and babies. I also hope to continue growing professionally through certifications and advanced training in maternal and newborn health.

I am interested in pursuing graduate education in nursing after gaining experience as a Registered Nurse. My future goals may include advanced practice nursing in women’s health, maternal-child nursing, or becoming a Nurse Practitioner focused on women’s and family health. I am interested in continuing my education to expand my knowledge, leadership skills, and ability to provide high-quality care to patients and families.

I enjoy community service, volunteering, studying healthcare topics, spending time with family and friends, listening to music, caring for my dog, and learning more about maternal and newborn health. I also enjoy activities that promote wellness, self-care, and personal growth.
