About

My name is Shamsiya Oudou, and I am an 18 year old international student. I have been admitted to Loyola University Chicago, where I will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. This is an exciting milestone in my life, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue my education in the United States.
I have always been passionate about helping others, especially those who face challenges that often go unnoticed. Growing up, I witnessed many young people particularly girls in my community struggle with limited access to education, healthcare, and emotional support. These experiences inspired me to pursue a career where I can make a meaningful and lasting difference in people’s lives.
Although I will be studying Psychology, my long term goal is to attend medical school and become an anesthesiologist. I am fascinated by medicine and committed to providing compassionate, high quality care to patients during some of the most important moments of their lives. I believe that studying psychology will strengthen my understanding of human behavior, communication, and mental well-being, making me a more empathetic and effective physician.
Beyond my professional aspirations, I am dedicated to giving back to my community. One of my greatest dreams is to create programs and initiatives that empower girls through education, mentorship, and access to opportunities. I want to encourage young women to believe in themselves, pursue their ambitions, and overcome the barriers that often stand in their way. I hope to use my education and future career not only to improve individual lives but also to create positive, lasting change in my community.
I enjoy learning, meeting new people, and embracing opportunities that allow me to grow both personally and professionally. I believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives, and I am committed to making the most of every opportunity I receive.
As I begin this new chapter at Loyola University Chicago, I look forward to developing my knowledge, serving others, and working toward my dream of becoming an anesthesiologist while making a meaningful impact on the lives of people in my community and beyond.
