I completed my Bachelor's in Health Science in 2021 and am putting it to good use now in an associate degree program that will give me the knowledge to take the national licensing exam to become a registered respiratory therapist. I plan to work at a large hospital that will allow me to develop skills in the emergency room and ICU setting. I also hope to explore specialties such as neonatal/pediatric and ECMO.
After I begin practicing and if I am still enjoying the hospital, I may go back to school to become a mid-level provider such as a physicians assistant. This would require two years of grad school. Not sure if that is something I will do, but it is something I have thought about.
