I graduated Navy Boot Camp as an honor grad based on high performance academically through tests and inspections, as well as high physical performances.

Career goal: I plan to graduate from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences with an emphasis in Pre-Vet. I, then, plan to continue my education and attend a technical college to receive an additional degree (associate's degree) in a Vet-Tech program. After having obtained a Vet-Tech associate's degree and a bachelor's in Animal Sciences, I plan to attend Veterinarian School (grad school), on the path to becoming a licensed vet (DVM) and practice in a clinical setting or work for the USDA ensuring the safety, quality, and regulations for animal welfare at processing plants.

Outside the classroom: My hobbies are endless; they include everything from sports to art to baking to singing. In my free time, I spend countless hours in the kitchen, whether it's trying new recipes or making past favorites. I enjoy baking and cooking! I also like to draw; I typically stick to pencil drawings, only black and white shading. I am not the best but I thoroughly enjoy singing to new and old music! I also love to play, as well as watch, sports. I enjoy playing, watching, and coaching volleyball. I enjoy watching football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, etc. I spend a lot of free time at the fitness center lifting weights, running, and swimming, too. Being outdoors in the sunshine, camping, fishing, hiking, spending days at the lake or ocean are also hobbies of mine.

I take part in the Welcome Ministry at SVCC. I help put together welcome bags, prepare baked goods, and deliver the welcome packets/baked goods to new members of the church. With the delivery, I usually stop and take time to introduce myself, talk about the beliefs of the church, and the hospitality they can expect at our church.

I took part in a mission trip over July of 2016, traveling with members of Hope Lutheran Church (based out of Fond du Lac, WI) to Ahuachapan, El Salvador to assist the Christian School and church in their community with renovations of a children's park at the school, teaching english, and diving into the love of our faith. We also helped local homeless, local hospitals, and local shelters in that area while there.
