Sharon Martin

I am an undergrad student currently attending Eastern Michigan University, graduating in December 2014 with my BSW. I have completed two semesters of an internship working with populations ranging from mentally ill, homeless to after school youth programs. Practiced through intakes and individual assessments to determine crisis level of individuals. Practiced on-going case management and housing crisis intervention services to a culturally diverse population of mental ill and substance abuse and their families meeting their housing stabilization needs. Networked with community-based organizations and made referrals for to meet additional resource needs of the clientele. Collaborated with individuals to establish and meet their personal goals and objectives, assisted in household budgets, resources, and creating a viable support network. Assisted in creating an after school program for youth and practicing a client-centered approach with clientele to enhance their well-being and quality of life.
