About
Hi! My name is Sheila, and I'm thrilled to be a part of the Honors Club. I currently live in Ohio, but I was born in Missouri, and raised in sunny Los Angeles, California. My journey in nursing began in Arizona, where I attended nursing school. Through every step of this journey, I've been guided by God, who has been my primary support system, helping me navigate through life's ups and downs. In 2021, I earned my associate degree, graduating one semester early. My academic journey continued as I pursued my bachelor's degree, achieving a 3.8 GPA during my first semester. As I await the posting of my spring semester grades, I anticipate maintaining a 4.0 GPA. My goal is to complete all required courses within the next 12 months for my RN-BSN. Goals and interests
- Career goal
As a Registered Nurse, I am pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing to further enhance my skills. After completing my RN-BSN program, I plan to turn in my degree to my employer. My future goals include advancing to leadership roles, such as Nurse Manager or Clinical Nurse Specialist, and eventually owning a business.
- Graduate school interests
My goal is to further specialize in nursing or healthcare management. I believe that obtaining a graduate degree will not only deepen my expertise but also open up new opportunities for me to leadership and innovation in the healthcare field.
- Outside the classroom
One of my favorite hobbies is traveling. I love exploring new places and making the most of my adventures, I built a bed in my car. This allows me to save money on hotels and truly immerse myself in the local culture, food and entertainment. My second favorite hobby is riding my motorcycle, which gives me the freedom to explore nearby areas when I'm not traveling far. Some other activities I enjoy include kayaking, hiking, karaoke, and playing pickleball. Each of these hobbies allows me to stay active, have fun and connect with others.
