About
I am a Master of Social Work student at the University of Houston with a focus on macro social work, community engagement, and organizational wellness. My academic and professional interests center on creating systems where care, equity, and sustainability are embedded into how organizations and communities function.
Alongside my graduate studies, I work in legal and community-based settings and remain deeply involved in grassroots organizing and civic engagement in Houston’s Third Ward. I aspire to build a career that bridges social work, policy, and leadership, with the long-term goal of serving in an organizational wellness or community leadership role.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I plan to pursue a career in macro social work with an emphasis on organizational wellness, community engagement, and policy-informed leadership. Long term, I aspire to work in roles that influence systems-level change—such as organizational wellness leadership, public sector roles, or community-based leadership positions that center human dignity and collective care.
- Graduate school interests
I am particularly interested in macro social work, organizational wellness, community-driven research, and policy advocacy. My graduate studies focus on how systems, institutions, and leadership practices impact collective well-being, especially in historically under-resourced communities. I am drawn to work that emphasizes sustainability, equity, and preventative approaches to burnout and community harm.
- Outside the classroom
Community engagement and civic involvement, creative content development and digital storytelling, wellness and restorative practices, travel and cultural exploration, and exploring local spaces.
