About

My name is Sherlyn Martinez; I am a junior double majoring in Philosophy (Justice, Law and Value) option as well as Political Science. I am also triple minoring in Politics and Government, Ethics, and History. I recently received the Dotter Award for excellent achievement in my Philosophy major. I have a strong passion for learning and for the law. People have always described me as a goal oriented person as well as a very responsible one. At the age of 16 I worked for Phelan, Hallinan LLP, which was called Phelan, Hallinan, and Schmieg LLP when I was working there. The summer of 2014 I worked at Philadelphia City Hall for Council Woman Maria D. Quiñones Sanchez of district 7.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended Job Path is being a lawyer. The field of study that I want to choose is still unclear but no matter which filed I know I will be happy because it is doing something I have always wanted to do.

Graduate school interests

After I graduate from my undergraduate studies my plan is to go to Law school. I am still unsure what path of legal studies I could choose, but no matter what path I choose I will be fulfilling my dreams in being a lawyer. I have two path that I am confused on and that is Corporate Law and Criminal Law. These two fields have always interested me and choosing between the two has been very difficult. Nevertheless, I know that at the right time I will make the right decision, or the decision I am intended to take.
