About
I am currently a sophomore at Bowie State University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. As a full-time student-athlete on the university’s track and field team, I actively balance the demands of academic excellence, athletic performance, and professional work responsibilities. Despite a challenging schedule, I’ve maintained an outstanding cumulative GPA and earned recognition as a Bowie State Scholar.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I chose to pursue psychology because I’ve always had a passion for helping, supporting, and guiding others. This foundation has shaped the way I communicate, problem-solve, and build meaningful connections. When I came across this job opportunity, I immediately saw how well it aligned with both my interests and my experience.
What excites me about a career in sales is the ability to engage with people, walk them through a process clearly, and ease any concerns they may have. I find it rewarding to help shift negative perceptions and create a positive, solution-focused experience for customers. This path allows me to combine my understanding of human behavior with my communication skills to make a real impact.

Volunteering
-
In my role as a Stand Assist volunteer, I work directly with individuals experiencing homelessness by providing hands on support with daily needs such as meals, clothing, and emotional encouragement. This experience has deepened my understanding of compassion, human dignity, and the importance of community service. I have learned how critical even the simplest acts, such as offering a warm meal, helping someone choose weather appropriate clothing, or just listening, can be in restoring a person's sense of hope and self worth. This role has not only made me more empathetic but also strengthened my ability to work collaboratively and remain patient and grounded in challenging situations.
