About

I am doing a Ph.D. in Energy and Mineral Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. My research interest is to understand and tackle the health and safety hazards of natural or anthropogenic nano-sized dust particulates released into the atmosphere. I am also interested in understanding the interaction behavior of particulates emitted into the atmosphere in order to understand the hidden and nano-scale reactions and how they are impacting the health of humans, climate change etc.

Goals and interests

Career goal

Research assistant, Postdoc Research, Research Scientist, Professor

Graduate school interests

Nano-size dust characterization, Understanding interaction of particles in the atmosphere at Nano-scale, Nano particulates/dust moisture uptake and transport behavior, Surface and bulk physicochemical Characterization of nano-sized particulates (DPM, dust etc) emitted from diesel engines, and how such features get modified while they interact in the atmosphere in presence of other dust (coal, limestone dust, etc.), moisture, temperature etc. Correlate toxicity of these nano-particulates to their characteristics. Flow Modeling (ventilation air, particulates etc.)
