About

I completed the Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management. It involves the management and development of a company's employees. The various competencies include Recruiting and employee selection; Compensation and Benefits; Training, development, and education; Employee and labor relations, and organizational management and development. It excites me as it allows me to work with people, rather than only computers.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I want to enter into the HR profession. Being an HR Specialist in Recruitment or Selection or an HR Generalist is always the foremost option in my mind. Human Resources offer variety and involve any aspect of an employer's workforce. The flexibility, along with positive ratings for work, give human resources specialist jobs solid marks for job satisfaction. There is also a huge potential to grow in the HR profession with the ongoing activities in the company.

Graduate school interests

I worked as a Student Ambassador at my college (College of New Caledonia, Prince George, BC, Canada) from CPHR BC & Yukon. It is an organization of HR professionals from all over Canada and helps HR Students to explore their capabilities and transitioning to an HR career. I am also working as a volunteer at our Student Union to organize virtual events. I worked as a Fundraiser Coordinator at my college's HR Club and also as a Treasurer for the HR Club. Recently, I started as the Client Service Coordinator at Canadian Cancer Society and it gives me a great exposure to work with people and know them more about their behavior and the way of interaction.

Outside the classroom

I am a modern magician; except I transform my complicated thoughts into paper drawings before the eyes of the public. I believe in telling relatable stories through writing poetry, so I have come a long way before working my magic on various topics of life along with imagination. I am always ready for scavenging new books and have plenty of room up to my sleeve for a few more readings during the break from work.
