I work for the Texas Department of Transporation as a General Transportation Technician. In this responsibility, I Perform complex transportation operations and maintenance support such as construction, contract maintenance, and material and process inspection; roadway maintenance and repair; traffic control; helping the public during emergencies; and training other employees. Work requires contact with private entities. At this level, I work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I now work for a State agency as a Construction Inspector. After completing my bachelor's degree in Construction Management, I want to become a Project Manager for a construction company. Because Large construction firms increasingly prefer candidates with both experience and a bachelor's degree in a construction-related field.
