Sona Kaba

I am student at the University of Texas at San Antonio studying public health with a focus on health promotion and behavioral science. I am also minoring in psychology. I hope to one day become a psychiatrist and help people across the world, mainly young children. I have always had a passion for helping people and making them feel better. I've developed good communication and listening skills to better myself and help others as much as i can. I've volunteered at a nursing home for 4 months helping out patients with eating and bathing, and simply keeping them entertained by playing games with them. I've also volunteered at a children's hospital and helped nurses with small tasks such as walking patients or keeping them company. My plan on hopefully going to grad school in Houston or New York to further my education in Psychology and later obtain a phd in this field. After obtaining my bachelors of science in public health, I wish to have a job in public relations or community outreach in Houston while attending school part-time.
