About

Currently I'm taking pre-nursing courses at Schoolcraft College which I will wrap up end of Winter 2017 term. The University of Toledo's nursing program then awaits me. Biology, in general always appealed to me, but my Anatomy and Physiology courses have became some of my favorites and most challenging. I know that I've only just scratched the surface in understanding the human body and I still have much to learn, but the more I learn and discover about it, the more grateful I am for my health and the more I want to help others who aren't as blessed.

I've completed a bachelors in Marketing and although it was interesting coursework, I find that the sciences fascinates and challenges me more. I'm an adult student returning to college because I'm changing careers. Why? Because the world is in need of nurses and because I know I'll be good at it. I know that sounds boastful, but it's not - I truly love and want to help people and nursing is the best way I can think of helping people in their most desperate hours/days. Nursing will give me the necessary training and I'll be able to find a good job in it, but nursing isn't just a job or a career, it's a lifestyle. No matter where you are or in what circumstances, you'll always be able to help those around because of the knowledge and experience you carry. I will no longer just be a bystander if someone gets hurt or are stick, I'll be able to help and maybe save a life or two. I hope to make a difference in someones life someday because I dared to show compassion and cared for another's well being.
