About

Prior to receiving my BA in Communications, I obtained 5 years of progressive senior level management experience at AT&T, MCI and Bell South call centers. This experience allowed me the opportunity to manage teams of 10-15+ employees and expound on my experience in responding to customer needs and exceptional customer experience.
I would also add that I have managed and mentored staff, providing constructive feedback and coaching, administering HR policies, conducted constructive performance reviews, and disciplinary processes.
These positions required that employees have compelling communication and influencing skills to win the support of senior management and influence strategic decisions; and the ability to develop an operational environment that supports the generation and full implementation of innovative ideas.
I also offer exceptional analytical and customer service skills, with advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

The Making of a Chef
I have to disclose the fact that I was in my Doctoral program and decided that this chance to pursue my dream is essential for my happiness and become a chef. In May of 2015 I received my Master of Science in Organizational Leadership Development. I received my BA (2013) in Communications and Media both degrees from Grand Canyon University. I am excited to be at Helms because I have a passion for food. Cooking for me, is all just about uplifting your God-given talents and leadership abilities and gifts then you will inspire the behaviors and accommodating opportunity of the entire company.
Chef Ramsey was my inspiration for living my dream. He showed me the many levels of food. He has taken food to another level with his fame and countless television shows. He is serious and funny about food, much like me. I love to laugh. It produces an ecosystem of communal vision, objectives, values and accountability which brings about the desired results.
After graduation, I plan of becoming either a Corporate Chef or may become a food Scientist. I could see myself leading a brigade. I have become more adapt to my role as a leader through this class and the interaction from which it inspired me to lead with the tools of a good ear and a loving heart. I am a charismatic leader. I have been Tino’s Tasties Catering since 2008 and now I want so much more. I have been building my brand and my customer base to ensure my success.
I have the ability to inspire and equip leaders to lead in a diverse way. Servant leaders adopt an atmosphere of conviction and reverence at all heights in an organization. Leaders are zealous about aiding people in discovering their significance and their devotion in their work as they reach. For me and the person that I am, it is all just about my leadership abilities and my gifts as a leader. I inspire the behavior and accommodating opportunity of any organization. This produces an ecosystem of communal vision, objectives, values and accountability which brings about the desired results.

The engine that keeps me going is my family. I want them to achieve greatness not just debt. I want them to be business owners. I want them to be celebrated where ever they may go not tolerated. My family is a beautiful thing and the love and support I receive from them will flourish into a legacy for their future and the future of the Patterson name. They love my cooking and always have wanted me to have a place of my own to create my food for all.
As for my happy place, it is in the kitchen cooking. I have my music, usually some Pat Matheny of some old soul music like Marvin Gay or some Aretha Franklin. There’s no other place I’d rather be than in my kitchen cooking. Another happy place for me is a Farmer Market or any organic grocery store. It is who I am a chef. I have a love for food and cooking that makes me so happy sometimes, my eyes change color. My family calls them “happy eyes”. I have to have a clean kitchen with all fresh everything. There I am at peace creating healthy, yummy food for my family.
There are no obstacles that I would ever allow to stand between me and my dream. I have already had to relocate some people from the front row of my life to the Balcony. I refuse to allow anything or anyone to stop this beautiful cooking thing I am embark on.
