About

I am a current Social Work student at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. I plan to graduate with a Bachelor's in Social Work and a minor in psychology. I have always had a connection with the elderly population and this love (from a young age) has not change. I am currently interning with a local Ombudsman office with Area Agency on Aging. Although this agency houses many different programs that are generated towards the elderly population, there are also other departments that have programs that can benefit everyone.

I am also a current member of several groups such as: NSLS (National Society of Leadership and Success), my university's Honor Social Work program (Phi Alpha Alpha Nu), the local Honor Society of Phi Theta Kappa and will be participating in the university's Donning of the Stoles event where I am classified under 'Perseverance'.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended job path is to be a Family/Marriage Counselor; however, I currently find myself engross in the field of Social Work. As I will be graduating with my Bachelors, I plan to pursue my licensure for my bachelor degree. I will then move on to gain my Master's degree and then pursue my licensure for the same before obtaining my degree and licensure in counseling.

Graduate school interests

My current interest in grad school is to pursue my masters in Social Work as well as Counseling. I would like to ultimately become a Family/Marriage Counselor; however, I will continue on with my venture in Social Work with the elderly population for as long as possible.
