Goals and interests
- Career goal
In my ideal world, I would love to be a successful and fulfilled actor. I am well aware of the challenges of being a working actor and that employment ebbs and flows throughout your career. Therefore, I want to combine my love of acting and psychology in supporting work in the field of drama therapy or performance psychology. I feel that early identification of a complementary field, one that allows me to be creative while helping others, will not only enhance my work as an actor but fuel me as a person. Along with taking psychology and theatre classes, I run a small mental health blog that focuses on coping through artistic expression. The site teaches crafts and projects rendered towards people facing mental health struggles. The purpose is to provide a unique, artistic outlet to aid one’s internal issues, as well as spread light and creativity to people from all walks of life. The benefits of art on brain function and mental health are not talked about nearly enough, and through my studies, I would love to spread awareness, create safe communities, and continue to be an advocate for pushing arts education in our schools. College will also give me more space to explore the academic side of theatre which will not only help me as a performer but as a scholar. I'm looking for a program that will enhance my critical thinking; a vital skill in order to integrate my disparate interests.

I am interested in possibly pursuing a masters degree in Drama Therapy after obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting.

Board Secretary; Senior Manager Web & Fundraising for Staples Players (high school theatre) - responsibilities: liaise with PTA/administration/actors; collect club funds; manage website; solicit sponsors & manage outreach; mentor younger Players & run socials.
