About

In 2015, I graduated with honors from Kaskaskia College with an Associate in Arts. I have recently transferred to Greenville Christian College where I plan on receiving my bachelor's degree in elementary education in the spring of 2017. As of right now, I am the preschool teacher at Kings Kids Preschool. I volunteer at my local church as well. My husband and I are the current youth pastors there. Through this ministry I am able to work with students of all ages. This ministry has really opened my eyes and taught me a lot about today's youth and the kinds of things they struggle with. Because of my deep desire to make a difference in the lives of young students, I decided to pursue elementary education. I am very excited to what my future holds!

Goals and interests

Career goal

I am planning on teaching at a local grade school. I will have my license to teach Kindergarten through 8th grade. I will be more than happy to teach any of those grades.

Graduate school interests

I do plan on attending grad school to receive my Master's in English. I would love to teach night classes at a local university.

Outside the classroom

In my spare time I like to read all kinds of books. My favorite kinds are the mystery/suspense novels. I also like to play a little on the piano. It is still a work in progress but I enjoy it. :) However, most of my spare time is spent with my husband.
