Goals and interests

Career goal

My hopes are to continue being a psychiatric nurse while incorporating mental health counseling into my profession.

Graduate school interests

I am interested in working in the clinical field of acute psychiatric patients. I hope to be a part of establishing or being involved in programs that promote medication compliance for clients suffering from mental illness who have difficulties obtaining medications and maintaining compliance. I am also interested in establishing a pet therapy program on the acute care unit that I presently work on due to the well-researched benefits of pet therapy.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy working in my garden, decorating my home, and shopping.
