Steven Wieczorek

Prior to my college graduation at Kean University, I student-taught for four months at James Ferris High School, located in Jersey City, New Jersey. There I was able to become familiar with the Promethean Interactive White Boards as well as Student Growth Objectives. Immediately following my graduation from Kean University, I was offered a long term social studies substitute teaching position at James Ferris High School. As a long term substitute teacher, I was able to work first hand with SMART Board technology, which allowed me to facilitate a more interactive learning environment.

As a Customer Service cashier at Stop And Shop Supermarkets, I have been able to excel in service due to my patient and understanding attitude. I have recently completed my fifth season as a volunteer baseball coach for the South Plainfield High School baseball team. I have been the head coach for the summer baseball team for five years and an assistant coach during the spring season, in which I work with Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity baseball players. Coaching has helped my leadership skills flourish, which has helped me master classroom management.

While attending South Plainfield High School, I was an active member of the sports community as well as the Peer Leadership group. I was also the President of the Cabinet Making and Manufacturing Club, in which I assisted in designing and building 32 Podiums of which were donated to the school.
