Summer Lynch

As a student that spent my K-12 years in lower-income schools, I watched many students drop out and give up on school because they did not feel like they were meant to learn. As I continued on in school, I found myself analyzing teaching practices and began to feel drawn to a career in teaching. As such, my love for English/Literature opened a pathway for me to not only teach a subject I feel connected to, but with diverse texts and backgrounds, it also gives me the opportunity to spark change that might make students feel more seen within educational contexts.
